Sydney is a success story in the making. She is overcoming her previous challenges and circumstances. Not much is known about Sydney’s past. Although not a pure breed, Sydney is primarily Austrailian Cattle Dog with most of the associated characteristics. She was found in the Rio Grande Valley in May 2020. At some point, she whelped a litter of puppies and lost her right eye in an accident or altercation. But non of this has dampened her joy for life. True to the breed, Sydney demonstrates endurance, intelligence and independence.

Sydney exhibits behavior indicating she previously had a home. She already knew basic voice commands i.e. “sit, stay” and eagerly offers her paw. She is housebroken and enjoys riding in the car. She walks well on a leash. She is high energy and eager for activity. Interestingly, she eats lying down in front of her bowl!

Sydney is a quick study, easily learning foster home routines and new words/commands. She is gaining confidence to play with toys. A happy dog, Sydney expresses her joy via her beautiful, fluffy, curled tail, inherited from that unknown mix! She is very protective, following Foster Mom’s every step. She lies down across doorways as if to stop an intruder. She likes to snuggle close to her human. When needing attention, Sydney will rest her chin on her human’s knee. She has co-existed with the sometimes-cranky senior dog in the foster home.

Sydney is approximately 3 yrs old, healthy, fully vetted, on regular monthly flea and heart worm prevention. She is spayed and microchipped.
